Fruit Drops
FROM THE ORCHARD TO THE TABLE
Packaging design
In the face of declining sales and a challenging market position, Fruit Drops sought to reclaim their spot on family tables. The brand required a packaging overhaul to appeal to discerning shoppers, particularly busy mothers looking for quality and flavor in their purchases.
Fruit Drops’ solution lay in an innovative design that bypassed the restriction on fruit imagery for their content category. Instead, the essence of taste was captured by the very hue of the juice itself. The packaging featured a dynamic swirl of liquid, representing the freshness and rich aroma upon pouring—a visual metaphor for taste that could speak directly to the consumer’s senses.
The design incorporated motifs of greenery and wood, invoking the rustic charm of an orchard and tradition. These elements resonated with the family-oriented demographic, evoking trust in the product’s natural origins. A quality assurance tag was strategically placed among the leaves, subtly associating the product with high standards and integrity.
This case study explores the journey of reinvigorating Fruit Drops’ brand appeal through strategic packaging design, connecting with core customers by promising not just a drink, but an experience—from the orchard to their table.
