Internal communication
IKEA was gearing up to inaugurate a new store in Croatia and required an internal communication campaign to acquaint coworkers with the project phases and solicit their input. Every piece of communication, whether internal or external, must conform to IKEA’s stringent guidelines emphasizing simplicity, strong symbolic cues, and a hint of playfulness.
A series of visuals was created, featuring a specially crafted campaign icon for the project – an IKEA key with the tagline. The design maintained a consistent, clean look, showcasing the iconic IKEA figure or the IKEA store itself as principal champions of the concept. This design encapsulates IKEA’s ethos of simplicity in task completion, the drive and excitement of achieving milestones, and the collective ascent towards the overarching objective.
I was at the helm of the entire project, from liaising with the client and crafting design proposals to finalizing designs, managing prepress, supervising production, presenting to the client, executing implementation, and overseeing the final output.
