Local politics have long been dominated by the same political figures, leading to a growing sense of disengagement among citizens. Civil Alternative emerged as an initiative by a group of intellectuals who wanted to leverage their professional skills to bring change and results to the community. They needed to break through citizen apathy and engage them in the cause.
The logo, an abbreviation of Civil Alternative (Gradjanska Alternativa), features the letter “G” shaped as an arrow, pointing the way towards the Alternative. The party name spelled out below reinforces the connection between “Civil” and “Alternative” in the viewer’s mind. Calming blue, a symbol of trust and reliability, was chosen as a primary color. Energetic red is used as an accent, grabbing attention and encouraging action. While reflecting national colors, the bright shades convey approachability, balance, and transparency.

After several years of existence, the second-stage logo symbolizes the diverse group of people united by the initiative, regardless of their core political views (left, right, or center). Civil Alternative is a movement of all citizens working towards visible changes.
A new website was designed and the slogan “People who use their heads” was introduced. This slogan empowers the audience to break free from apathy and emphasizes the party members’ thought independence from other political options.
Civil Alternative’s visual identity communicates directly with the audience. They use simple language that citizens can understand and trust, and a minimalist design that reflects their focus on getting straight to the point.
